need help with error code 1015 on iphone 3gs?

i have a iphone 3gs that was unlocked with 3. 0 firmware. when i tried to update it to the 3. 0. 1 firmware i keep on getting this error code 1015 on itunes every time i try to restore and update it. i tried everything i can find on google to fix it but it still wont work
